One effective way to create awareness and sympathy for a brand is to make people happy and cause a smile on their face. Attention informs about the brand and leaves a pleasant impression and memory on minds.

For one weekend, Stockholm City had Flame, Waterblob and Dabber to promenade the historic sites and lively shopping streets. Residents and tourists of all ages had fun with their appearance.

The statistic of three action days:

  • Number of received hugs: approximately 100-400 per puppet.
  • Children that wanted to adopt the puppets: 30
  • Proposal of marriage: 1
  • Number of photos taken of the puppets by spectators: approx. 2000
  • “Snowball” Dabber had been peoples’ favorite – and went into repairs after over 1000 hugs.

Behind the scenes:

  • The costumes have been on a visit from Italy and actually will travel all major European cities and fairs.
  • One guide is always walking beside the puppets to protect and assist the actors at all times.
  • The secret actors inside the costumes are always local cast – with a job assignment, they will remember all their lives.
  • It takes 30 minutes to prepare and put the costumes on.
  • Inside walking demands muscle strength and full concentration. Minus 4 degrees are perfect to not sweat or freeze.
  • In Stockholm, we had three extreme sporty and funny actors, 1 female, 2 male. They would love to do the job again
